Corrections Policy

Effective Date: June 13, 2025

At Pence Report, accuracy and accountability are at the core of our editorial values. We are committed to correcting factual errors promptly and transparently. This Corrections Policy outlines how we identify, evaluate, and address mistakes in our published content.

1. Our Commitment to Accuracy

We strive to ensure that all information published on our platform is factual, verified, and clearly sourced. Before publishing, articles undergo multiple rounds of editorial checks for accuracy, clarity, and context.

However, we recognize that errors can occasionally occur — and when they do, we aim to correct them responsibly.

2. How We Handle Corrections

When a factual error is discovered in a published article, we take the following steps:

a. Minor Errors (e.g., spelling, grammar, formatting)

  • These are corrected silently without a formal note.
  • They do not change the meaning or context of the article.

b. Substantive Errors (e.g., incorrect facts, figures, names, or quotes)

  • The article will be updated with a visible correction notice at the bottom.
  • The notice will include the date of correction and a brief explanation of what was changed.

Example:

Correction (June 14, 2025): A previous version of this article misstated the date of the Pence campaign announcement. It has been updated to reflect the correct information.

3. How to Request a Correction

We welcome readers, sources, and organizations to bring potential errors to our attention.

To report an error:
Email: [email protected]
📌 Subject line: Correction Request – [Article Title]
Please include:

  • The URL of the article
  • The specific information you believe is incorrect
  • A reliable source or explanation to support your claim

We aim to review and respond to all correction requests within 48 hours.

4. Editorial Independence

Corrections are made based on factual evidence, not political pressure or external influence. Our editorial team independently verifies claims and decides whether a correction is warranted.

5. Archive and Republishing Policy

When corrections are made, the updated version becomes the official article. We do not delete corrected articles unless legally required or if they pose harm or misinformation.

6. Commitment to Transparency

We may also publish editor’s notes or updates for stories that evolve over time but are not the result of factual errors (e.g., “This story has been updated to include a statement from…”).
